// Overview

FORMA is a fullstack furniture store with a minimalist visual identity and an editorial approach to browsing collections, rooms and product details. The interface combines SvelteKit 2, Svelte 5, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS 4 with Bits UI, Lenis and layered parallax. The Go API uses Fiber, Uber Fx and Zap, with PostgreSQL persisting the catalog, accounts, inventory and orders. The shopping flow includes search, filters, finishes, favorites, a cart, server-side shipping quotes, stock reservations and order tracking. Accounts support email confirmation, password recovery and session management. Payments and shipping providers are simulated on the server; no real charges or deliveries take place. The repository includes Docker Compose, OpenAPI documentation and a separate production configuration. Public hosting, a domain and an SMTP service still need to be configured.

Architecture

The SvelteKit server loads the catalog and proxies authenticated requests to the Go API. Fiber handlers call application services, which use repository interfaces backed by PostgreSQL. Uber Fx composes dependencies and manages their lifecycle.

  • Flow: browser → SvelteKit → Go / Fiber → PostgreSQL.
  • Domain, application and adapters separated into catalog and commerce modules.
  • Abstract Factory composes compatible repository families.
  • Opaque sessions use HttpOnly cookies, with session hashes persisted in the database.
  • Prices, inventory reservations and order totals are validated on the server.
  • Versioned SQL migrations, OpenAPI contracts and Docker Compose.
